The AHRC Research Centre for Cross-Cultural Music and Dance Performance was a centre at SOAS University of London, Roehampton University, and the University of Surrey that I directed from 2002–2008, funded by the British Arts and Humanities Research Centre. Involving almost 130 scholars, musicians, and dancers, it worked at the interface of academia and performance.
